• It may be used to reduce the risk of death and lessen the damaging effects of an acute heart attack.

• It is also used to reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes in certain men and women who have already had a heart attack or ischemic stroke.

• It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
